2005

AT THE

In her seventh show, Nó, choreographer Deborah Colker transforms a dance that is too human: desire.

Nó made its world premiere on May 5, 2005 at the Movimentos Dance Festival in Wolfsburg, Germany, with great public and critical success.

In the first act, the dancers move through a tangle of 120 strings. Knotting strings that symbolize the affective bonds that tie us. Ropes that serve to trap, pull, connect, release.

In the second act, the strings come out and the stage is occupied by a huge transparent box created by the set designer Gringo Cardia.

It is a metaphor of desire, of what you want, but you cannot take, of what you see, but you cannot have, of what you aspire to, but you cannot achieve.

The dancers balance classical and contemporary techniques in delicate and brutal movements.
